The People’s Republic of Flying Dog is now in session. It’s happy hour at Flying Dog Brewery, so here is your latest dose of irreverence.
Having Fun Without You
Hopefully, the title isn’t true for you but if it is, our videos this week are designed to make you jealous. The first video is of the Savor Craft Beer & Food festival that I was flogging for about a month. We paired our Gonzo Imperial Porter with raspberry-filled artisan chocolates and Kerberos Tripel with Peking Duck purses. All the big-wigs in craft beer were there, including our Lead Dog Eric Warner. Take a look to see what you missed out on, and perhaps next Savor you’ll be on top of it.
Our second video is from Artomatic, the epic art event in Washington, D.C. - 1000 artists, 9 floors, 250,000 square feet, 2 music stages and more. Artomatic kicked off on May 9th and runs through this Sunday. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, get there this weekend because you are seriously missing out. We hope to help the Artomatic folks spread this idea across the country, but until then you’ll have to settle for this video tease. Due to some complications with our Text & Win promotion, only AT&T is currently working for your texting and winning awesomeness. Below is a list of service providers and dates when you will be able to send your text messages.
AT&T - UP NOW! Text & Win!
T-Mobile or Sprint - week of June 17th
Verizon - week of June 24th
Essentially what happened is the company we were going to use for the promotion went out of business at the last second and we were caught with our pants down, to use the parlance of our times. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and hope you will stick with us and participate in the promotion when things are up and running.
If you would like updates on when each of these providers come online, send us an email at bullshit@flyingdogales.com. Please include your
name and mobile phone provider.
Thanks for sticking with us,

Open Source Beer Project
For those of you who regularly follow our newsletter you probably know about our Open Source Beer Project that we launched about this same time last year. We invited home brewers to help us create the recipe for our next Wild Dog Specialty Series release and had an overwhelming response. Now, we are looking to expand the Open Source Beer Project into the latest version 1.1 or 2.0. Seeing this is open source we thought we would solicit ideas from the People’s Republic of Flying Dog. We will be accepting concepts from June 18th through July 18th. If your idea is used you will win one of the limited edition Ralph Steadman signed bottles of Gonzo Imperial Porter that we released in 2005 (pictured here). Check out the contest page on June 18th for more details or email you idea to bullshit@flyingdogales.com.
